TOUR TO THE TANZANIA ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION

Physics Students’ Academic tour to the Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission was a FANTASTIC experience🇹🇿

We had
a) A brief lecture about Atomic Energy from mining to extraction

b) Laboratory Tour of how they extract, preserve, use, and dispose of the minerals.

ATEC center in Arusha is the hub of Atomic research facility in East Africa (Kenya just opened up few months ago), it is servicing about five countries in SADC . We have learned that ATEC are also on a verge of enrolling students for certification in the field of Atomic Energy, they are to take 50 students only(form 6), Tanzania demands atleast 400 man power and they are short of 300.
